I haven’t been online for some time due to a massive increase in work commitments and some health issues, but I have been working on Rolamaton stories behind the scenes and planning some changes here and there, too. One of these changes will affect The Berter Family stories, that I’m renaming into The Gearshift Family. I’m changing their last name because “Berter” didn’t sit right with me: it felt more like a placeholder that had been put there waiting for a better name that would really suit an Electronian bot. Thanks, Writer’s Market!
I bought the Writer’s Market 2009 book on eBay a few weeks ago. I only recently got it in the mail. Do I need to mention how big a help this book is revealing to be? Aside from magazines that accept freelance writers, I found at least a hundred publishers for short stories, Sci-Fi novels and novellas that accept online submissions. Manna from Heaven! I don’t care the book is a 2009 edition. I understand the need for update, as new publishers are born every year, but I can get the updates from the Web version (which I’m going to subscribe to on January/February 2012): all I could afford NOW…

Two short stories
Working on two short stories: one for InTheSnake.com magazine, one for a contest. I’m not sure which one I will finish first, but I hope I get done with the contest one soon, as it expires on September 1st. I’m also getting on with my reading list. I’ve read – and finished reading – 8 books this month. Not bad. I might be reading a few more in September, hopefully. Two months to NaNoWriMo 2011. I can hardly wait!
