There are so many people who helped inspire the characters in The Gearshift Family including games, movies, cartoons and even real life people – especially my friend Luana!
I felt it would be a good idea to dedicate a post to each characters’ inspiration.
So I created a category just for all the people, characters and objects who inspired my Gearshift Family characters.
The Gearshift Family has been growing a lot lately with the character count soaring to over 120 in the team.
I’m often being asked about the inspiration for some individual characters or wondering if I’ve been influenced by a certain video game or movie when making my puzzles so I thought that it would be a good idea to create this blog category!
Why the Inspirations?
Have you ever read a story and thought, “Hey, these are familiar!”
Turning the page to discover a character the next day that reminds you of the character you were just thinking about.
Well with my series of web stories called The Gearshift Family (sister work to Rolamaton the Robocity and Planet Electronia) this will happen each and every story.
In fact many of the characters have been inspired from characters you might have read about in other books or saw on a TV show or in a movie.
Hopefully I can get some people interested enough to look up some of these characters that I’ve mentioned as well.
